Dr. Garth J. Thompson has a strong background in combining fMRl with other modalities to both understand fMRl asa technique, and also answer questions about brain functiorusing fMRl. His lab intend to develop quantitative techniguesto use MRl to measure brain function in terms of oxygen me.tabolism, glucose metabolism, and metabotropic receptorfunction.

In this presentation, he will discuss his lab’s recent workto understand the effects of the CBi and Glp-1R on functional brain networks. They have used tools that can image thentire brain at once with high spatial and temporal resolutionand a new probe developed for MRl of the CB1 receptor, revealing new functional brain networks associated with aboutthese receptors.
